Hostel Rules and Regulations

  • Only those girl students who are admitted to The MJRP University will be eligible for admission to the hostel.
  • Ragging in the hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Any inmate involved in ragging is liable to be expelled from the hostel/university and legal action will be taken.
  • Smoking, Alcohol, Narcotic consumption & bring non vegetarian food is strictly prohibited in and around the Hostel premises. Legal action will be taken against offenders.
  • Loitering in the Hostel campus during the class hours will not be appreciated.
  • Students must turn off all the electrical equipments & lights before leaving their rooms otherwise Rs. 500/- shall be charged as fine.
  • Students must keep the Campus & Rooms clean. Defacing walls, equipment, furniture etc., is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are not allowed to use electric stoves, heaters, iron etc in rooms. Rs.500/- shall be charged as a fine on confiscation of any of these items. Disciplinary action will be taken.
  • The admission of a student to hostel can be cancelled if she is found guilty of:
    • Suppression or misrepresentation of any fact about her.
    • Violation of any of the hostel rules, including non-payment of dues.
    • An act of indiscipline in or outside the hostel.
    • Not putting up required percentage of attendance in class or not showing good performance.
    • Misbehavior, using abusive language, manhandling of hostel employees/inmates.
    • Possessing/taking drugs, liquor and other intoxicants.
    • Suffering from such severe physical/mental ailments which could be infectious/ contagious or communicable and could cause in convenience or trouble to other inmates.
  • Hostellers are advised not to lend or borrow money, precious jewellery/ expensive items etc. The university will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the same.
  • Hostel Gates will be locked by 6:00 p.m. Check in time for the students is 6:00 p.m.
  • Outings: Local outings with the HOD and Warden’s permission are allowed, as follows, for bonafide reasons. The permitted time is to be strictly adhered to. Non compliance of the permitted time shall result in cancellation of the subsequent outings. The administration can exercise its discretionary rights to cancel the outings of any candidate without assigning any reason.
  • Local outing:
    • Sunday outings: On Sunday for seven hours (10-5pm)
    • Weekly outings: Once in week for maximum 3 hours. (Wednesday or Thursday)
  • Gate passes for weekly outings will be issued after 3: 00 p.m.
  • Only Local guardians and parents are allowed to visit their ward whose photograph and name mentioned in   hostel form. Visiting hours are till 3:00 pm  to 5:30 p.m.
  • Entry of male/boy, friends and day scholars is strictly prohibited in Girls Hostel.
  • Entry of female/girl, friends and day scholars is strictly prohibited in Boys Hostel.
  • Late comers will be penalized.
  • Cooking food in the rooms is not allowed.Meals will be served in the Dining Hall at fixed hours.
  • A case of illness must be immediately reported to the resident warden.
  • Timing for those students will be flexible who want to attend Internship/coaching outside the hostel campus but with the written consent of parents and by submitting tuition identity card.
  • No students will be permitted in entering the hostel after 6:00 pm, whatever the reason concern.
  • No Interchange of Room Should is without permission of the warden.
  • Visitors are not allowed to visit in their Hostel Rooms.
  • Students must not make loud noise in Galleries, Balconies, Mess or any common palace or play loud music in their rooms.
  • Online order by any students is placed by before 8:00 pm.
  • The hostlers are prohibited to keep any kind of weapon otherwise action will be taken.
  • No student can leave the hostel in between session. In case of leaving the hostel in between the session: Security deposit will be forfeited.
  • The hosteller is strictly warned that damage to any hostel property will be viewed seriously. If any damage to property is done intentionally. The total replacement cost will be recovered from the students of that floor from all the students.
  • To leave for vacation girl’s hostellers have to communicate the permission granted from their parents to the hostel warden through Fax/Mail from their parents. If Fax/Mail is not possible the same should be communicated to warden by parents over phone.
  • The students wishing to go out on a particular day should collect the out pass between 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm (Except on Wednesday, Sunday &Holidays) on a day prior to their outing day.
  • Those who will be expelled from hostel premises under disciplinary grounds will not be refunded any fee either hostel or caution money.
  • The students are required to give names of their local guardian so that they can take care of the students if they fall sick and are required to be admitted in the hospital on the advice of the doctor. Class mates or other students instead or local guardian may be permitted to stay with the patient during night stay provided permission is obtained from the parents of the accompanying students (they [accompanying students] must take permission from their parents for staying in hospital). In such cases the accompanying students shall be responsible for their security and safety.
  • No outsider can stay in the hostel with any student. If anyone caught strict action will be taken against the student and also against the outsider.
